8:50 PM Sydney, Australia – Elders Limited revenue rose 3% revenues rose 3%. Leighton Holdings Limited revenue fell 3% and net profit rose 82%.
Elders Limited, a rural services provider said first half revenues rose 3% to A$1.04 billion from A$1.01 billion a year ago. Net loss for the first half was A$165.9 million or 41.0 cents per diluted share compared to net loss of A$328.8 million or 404.3 cents per share a year ago.
Elders Limited, in the last one year traded as high as A$41.70 in January 2010 and as low as A$21.10 in June 2009. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of A$32.56 the company has market cap of A$9.70 billion.
Leighton Holdings Limited, the project developer and contractor said nine months revenues fell 3% to A$13.3 billion from A$13.7 billion a year ago. Net profit for the year rose 82% to A$400.0 million compared to net profit of A$220 million a year ago.
