| Total value of dwelling finance commitments excluding alterations and additions decreased by 1.2%.Total value of dwelling finance commitments excluding alterations and additions decreased 0.1%. Owner occupied housing commitments fell 0.9%, while investment housing commitments rose 1.8%.The number of first home buyer commitments as a percentage of total owner occupied housing finance commitments decreased from 17.7% in October 2006 to 17.4% in November 2006. |

The increase this quarter was driven by price rises for exports of metalliferous ores and metal scrap, nickel and zinc products, and cereal grains. |

The trend estimate & seasonally adjusted estimate of turnover for the Australian Retail and Hospitality/Services series increased by 0.4% & 0.2% in Nov.2006 respectively.In original terms, Australian turnover increased by 3.4% in November 2006.Australian turnover increased by 7.2% in November 2006. |
