In seasonally adjusted terms, the balance on goods and services was a deficit of $957m in April 2008, a decrease of $1,591m on the revised deficit in March 2008. |

Australian Current Account Deficit Widens

| The current account deficit, seasonally adjusted, rose $776m to $19,492m. The deficit on the balance of goods and services rose $1,459m to $8,019m. The income deficit fell $677m to $11,400m. |
